Activity Bio
Ever wonder where your drinking water comes from? One common place your drinking water can come from is an aquifer (i.e. well water). In aquifers, the water is underground. This activity uses edible materials to demonstrate the layout and function of an aquifer, in an interactive way, using various shaped candies, ice cream and refreshments as the materials. The edible aquifer workshop works well both indoors and outdoors. It pairs well with our water model presentation (insert link to the activity).
Testimonials
"There is nothing more engaging for students than to include candy and ice cream in a science lesson. Would highly recommend this workshop even for the older elementary kids. We had the presenter out all morning and completed the activity in three different classrooms."
